Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Carbonic Acid for Metalworking Residues Elimination
Clean up the big mess
The hardware in your workplace is designed to keep you working. Unfortunately, all that hard work can be a real mess. Amongst other things, metals and plastics accumulate in the hardware in the form of worn out gaskets, shavings, grit, chips, and other abrasive residue.
Chemical cleaners are usually not the best way to remove heavy metals. When high acid is involved, the chances are the metal is acidic enough to turn to metal sulphides (lead sulphide, for example). A solution that would likely work on lead would probably dissolve copper too.
The best way to remove metal contamination is to use a powerful solvent and to ensure the residue is thoroughly cleaned. Then, burn the hardware in a large fire in a well ventilated area. This will get rid of any particulates.
Carbonic Acid is a powerful oxidizing agent used to dissolve heavy metals. Used properly, carbonic acid will convert metal sulphides to sulfates. The problem is that carbonic acid is a bit of a tricky compound. It can eat through the substrate in which it is applied if used improperly. You have to be very careful with this stuff.
We recommend that you contact a hazardous waste disposal company before you start. They will be able to give you information and instructions on how to safely use this product. If you have any questions, contact our office at (413) 795-8736 and we will be happy to assist.
However, most of the hard assets are in need of repair, replacement or upgrade. One of the most common problems encountered during this maintenance is the accumulation of sticky metal scraps that can’t be cleaned out by a simple solvent.
A common solution to the problem is to use an acid of a certain type of metal, typically one that is fairly reactive. The most common acid in this category is concentrated H2SO4 (the acid is a concentrated solution of sulfuric acid).
Most of the acid is drawn off by the solution, leaving behind a mixture of metal and sulfate, which can be cleaned up with a solvent. This works quite well, but it can be hazardous. It is best to have a professional do the job for you.

Autodesk Video Editions (AVED) is a set of tools developed by Autodesk and distributed through the Autodesk application store, that are designed to extend AutoCAD’s drawing-creation capabilities. They include tools that automatically construct video-slideshows of drawings and permit one to create video animations and create video from drawings.
In 1983, Drafting Assistant was developed by Philip R. Jones, and in 1994, it was renamed to the current name, AutoCAD.

Ask HN: Advice on startup in the Philippines? – mivok
I’m an entrepreneur who’s traveled all over the world, and I love the Philippines. However, I’ve never set foot there, and I have no idea what it’s really like in the real world. As a result, I want to hire a local guide to show me around, and I have the money to do it.Here’s where I need your help:1. What are the resources (books, blogs, etc.) that are most helpful in learning about business in the Philippines?2. Are there any resources that are most helpful in learning about running a startup in the Philippines?3. What are the best websites/blogs that are written in English? And what are the best websites/blogs written in Tagalog?4. Is there a reason why a company that’s based in the US would choose to start up a company in the Philippines instead of in the US?5. Are there any costs that I should be aware of before moving my company here? For example, tax is 50% for corporations, but it’s only 12% for individuals, which makes it harder to set up a company.6. In general, where would you recommend me to start? (e.g. a startup incubator
